{"id":7102,"date":"2015-01-30T22:15:32","date_gmt":"2015-01-30T22:15:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/localhost:8888\/wordpress\/?p=7102"},"modified":"2015-01-30T22:15:32","modified_gmt":"2015-01-30T22:15:32","slug":"forest-stewardship-panel-meeting-violates-sunshine-law","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/environment-hawaii.org\/?p=7102","title":{"rendered":"Forest Stewardship Panel Meeting Violates Sunshine Law"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Posted<\/strong>\u00a0<b>09\/01\/2011\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p>The Forest Stewardship Advisory Committee has scheduled a meeting for September 2 that, if held, will be in violation of the state&#8217;s Sunshine Law.<\/p>\n<p>Notice of the meeting was given to the Lieutenant Governor&#8217;s office, but was not sent to all members of the public requesting such notice. (<i>Environment Hawai&#8217;i<\/i> made such a request in 2007.<\/p>\n<p>For years, the Department of Land and Natural Resources maintained that the committee was not subject to the Sunshine Law.
